Yeah, It’s Cold

Brrrrrrrrrr! Welcome to 2018 guys.

I am sitting here now in my wool socks with a fuzzy blanket over me while drinking hot coffee and pretending that I don’t have to go anywhere today. I can feel the cold seep through the window sills and it chills me to the bone! It has been so cold lately and as I look at my weather app, it looks like another -7 degree day. It’s that time of year when your nostrils stick together the minute you step outside and you start to wonder why you live in a place where the air hurts your face and it is just so darn cold all the time. To be honest, I am always welcoming and actually excited for winter when it arrives, but after Christmas comes and goes and that first weekend of January hits, I’m done with it. I don’t mind winter but not when it is less than ten degrees. I’ll take 15 degree weather and a bunch of snow over this. I actually LIKE snow. Ok, well I like snow when I don’t have to drive too far in it. But when it’s this cold, it’s really hard to enjoy anything! It’s just not worth skating, skiing, nor any other winter activity for that matter, not like I have any winter hobbies anyway. I wish I did though! Maybe then I’d enjoy this cold freeze a little more.

So yeah, now you know what I think about this weather so far. As I sit and contemplate the cold however, the caffeine is hitting and I realize it’s time to get moving and get out the door! Although the cold is making me just a little irritable as of late, I am looking forward to my three day weekend off. I am starting it out bright and early this morning by helping mom move back home from up north (yes, in the cold).

Ok, enough venting. Enjoy your weekend and stay warm everybody!
