Lemon Vitality Essential Oil πŸ‹

I want to start off by saying, bear with me everyone. I’ll be posting a lot about essential oils since they’re new to me and I recently received my Young Living premium home starter kit! I’m close to clueless about what to do with them all so I came up with a good idea, thanks to Pinterest and friends. I decided to do an eleven day oily challenge with myself and my eleven oils. Each day, I will focus on just one oil and all it’s many different uses!

Day One: Lemon Vitality

So. This morning, I started out by adding just ONE drop of lemon vitality to my water for a little pick-me-up. If you don’t already know, vitality oils just mean that they are safe to ingest. Now here comes the honesty…I wasn’t crazy about it. In fact, I think I’ll stick to adding real lemons to my water. It tasted a little too “oily” for my picky tastebuds.

Second, I got my diffuser rolling again by adding 2 drops lemon+1 drop peppermint to water for a nice, fresh, uplifting aroma. I’ve actually really been enjoying this blend. I’ve diffused it the past couple days already. It boosts your mood and purifies the air at the same time!

Since I am actually getting ready to head to work right now, I won’t be using oils for the rest of the day (fragrance free at the hospital). I didn’t get too many uses in for my first challenge, but I can leave you with other use examples! I haven’t personally tried these next three, but as I’ve been researching, they were found as common uses. You could apply a drop or two to a cotton ball and place in a stinky fridge, add a drop or two to your detergent to freshen up laundry, or use it to rid of household dirt and grime. If you’re looking for even more uses, check out Pinterest, google, etc.

Remember, these are my own personal trial-and-error runs so I will be honestly opinionated and really guys, this is just for fun! I am finding out what I like and don’t like about them.

If you use essential oils and lemon is among your stash, tell me, what do you use it for?
